Temperatures will be hot today along with a good chance for showers and thunderstorms. A weak tropical wave will approach the region from the Atlantic Thursday which will enhance chances for showers and thunderstorms then. Looking ahead for the 4th of July weekend (Fri - Sun): HOT ... highs in the mid to upper 90s with the heat index around 105-110°. If that tropical wave hangs around, we could get more showers and thunderstorms on Friday.
